No Blackstone stroll is complete without a stop into Coneflower Creamery for a scoop of house-made and locally sourced ice cream. With flavors that range from classic to creative, there’s a fresh taste of Omaha in every bite. You’ll know the owner, Brian Langbehn, by his curled mustache and genuinely happy smile, but we had a good time getting to know more about the jovial head of the house and his brilliant and bubbly brains behind the blend, Chef Katie Arant. Having such innovative and community-focused partners tells us we are on the right path, and the Coneflower family fits right in with the Dundee team!
Supporting local businesses is our passion, so when we find someone advancing local efforts with a slogan that reads “Farm to Cone”, we have to know more! We asked Brian about his efforts to source and support his neighbors.
“It’s a huge part of our philosophy at Coneflower. We feel that the best ingredients make the best ice cream. We work with local farmers and artisans to get the freshest, highest quality products. This creates strong, vibrant communities.”
From dairy products to innovative herb combinations, you’ll find these sweet touches in just about every flavor. The ever-changing seasonal menu includes fresh harvests from several local farmers and vendors.
When Brian came into Dundee with a dream and a mission, we were excited to help him find the tools to fill this need in the Omaha community. Finding out that we left a sweet taste in his mouth, too, was just the cherry on top!
