Dundee Bank is lucky to be surrounded by a dedicated community of businesses serving excellent food and drinks, so we’re always excited for the opportunity to serve them in return! When John Fahrer of Scriptown Brewing Company in Blackstone decided to make the switch to a new bank for his business in a tumultuous year, he didn’t have to look far.
John, who serves as treasurer of the Blackstone Business Association, had seen Dundee Bank’s involvement in the community for years.
“They supported us during the pandemic and we weren’t even customers!” John recalls.
Combined with Dundee Bank’s commitment to supporting local, Scriptown joining the Dundee Bank family was a match brewed in heaven.
“Dundee Bank has been such a great community partner in the Blackstone District since it inception,” he says. “So when we were looking to make a change, it seemed to be natural,”
At Dundee Bank, we’re always looking to take a cue from Scriptown’s beloved beers, bringing
people together to share a sense of community and respect for our neighbors.
“We love the people—their outreach to us was amazing,” John says of his memories starting out with Dundee Bank. “I was impressed by the friendliness of the entire staff and the unparalleled service that goes above and beyond.”
Throughout the Blackstone neighborhood, John has carved out a reputation as a great storyteller, a local brewmaster, and a great neighbor. Just like members of the Dundee Bank team, he’s no stranger to donating and volunteering locally, too.
Always ready to serve cold ones and good stories, he personally served guests his signature beers at Dundee Bank’s First Friday event in May. “Supporting local means being active in the community and promoting the livelihoods of the customer base” John says.
Dundee Bank is proud to partner with businesses like Scriptown Brewing Company and owners like John who believe in supporting the community through good times and bad. Thank you for your support, excellent stories, and fantastic brews!
